Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Nadiia Solo, Founder of Solo Site Solutions, located in Sonora, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I founded Solo Site Solutions in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. I offer custom services to my clients who host (or would like to) their memberships, online courses, and programs on Kajabi - one of the leading LMS on the market. I build websites, create sales funnels, and manage memberships.

My clients are coaches and companies from various industries who offer business and personal growth and development.

Tell us about yourself

I am a mom of 2 beautiful children and a loving wife. I am a corporate escapee who was eager to work from home on my own terms before I even knew what I'd be doing. I had a pretty bad experience with my former manager, and that was the last drop before I said to myself: "Enough is enough!"

During my last year in a corporate job in 2019, I started exploring the online world, searching for anything that would spark interest. From selling on Amazon to social media management, from copywriting to graphic designing - I have tried it all.

I've always had a love for tech, and when I discovered Kajabi along with other LMS, that was a no-brainer. I absolutely loved getting in the backend of the platform and learning how all the tech things work behind the scenes.

Once everything is up and running, it really brings joy to my heart to see how flawlessly customer experience has become with the innovations I implement with my clients' businesses.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

To be a business owner or an entrepreneur takes guts. We face daily decisions that affect our businesses in the short or long term. I think that being a decision-maker on a daily basis is a huge accomplishment for me as this is something I didn't have to worry about much in my corporate job.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Self-discipline and setting boundaries.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. If you are looking to start your business - there's no better day than today.
  2. When running your business - set boundaries! Many people won't take "your side hustle" seriously for a while. Say no to family chats at 10 am on a Tuesday or spontaneous friend visits on Thursday afternoon. Set your business hours and stick to them.
  3. Grow your business - collaborate and network with people. Word of mouth goes far!
