What's your business, and who are your customers?

MYBC Consulting (move Your Bum Chum Consulting) was founded on April 1st, 2014, to serve the small business world and owners to have a big box thinking process with tools to build relationships on social media before they pitch and/or advertise their products and services. What I created is called 'The L.I.F.T.(.(I.N.G.) Up' System of utilizing LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter blending with your Intentions plus Networks to achieve your Goals in business.

Tell us about yourself

From my vast and various backgrounds in Retail Customer Service Management to Project Manager to Plus Size Fashion and Chef, these careers led me to the core pillars of my company MYBC Consulting of Connection Collaboration and Community. You require these to be a strong and viable business. What motivates me on a daily basis is to show others how to make genuine friendships that lead to long-term relationships that serve each other's greatest interests and gain alignments in business.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

One of the biggest accomplishments is having been contracted by Indiana University Northwest (Gary, Indiana, USA) to have my 'L.I.F.T.(I.N.G.) Up' System Training Courses (seven classes) listed in their curriculum for the Fall 2022 Semester. The BIGGEST Accomplishment has been and continues to be the connections I have made in reality and online to the four corners of this round world.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing I find as a business owner is doing the small stuff like admin for your business. As a BIG PICTURE thinker and creator, these small items get in the way at times.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Show Up and Up the Show ~ Participant to elevate your visibility and creditability.
  2. Follow Up or be F'ed Up ~ The movement in your business is through the actions of others.
  3. Personal Development ~ A Must! Read books, network to build your sphere of influential people, and failure is learning.
