Tell us about yourself

I started my business in 2010 after a health scare. I needed to be treated and spend time with my two young daughters. I started my company with more of a focus on tech support and administrative assistance cause that was my background.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Over the past few years, small businesses of all sizes and structures have experienced a crisis in some form or fashion. I have been able to identify a vast need for process and online visibility using search engine optimization and system improvement within organizations. Having a process in place is one of the key factors in running your business seamlessly, but even more so in handling a crisis. I help business leaders understand that a business crisis stretches far beyond PR (public relations). Something as simple as knowing your staff's skill set is a prime example of who does what, where, and why. Preparation is key.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Keeping busy C-level executives committed to implementing the recommended changes to see the end results.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Take the time to get a full understanding of your industry. Understand the good, the bad, and the ugly.
  2. Research and study your competitors constantly, especially if they are doing better than you. It's important that you see what works.
  3. Have your standard operating procedures in order. Don't leave anything to chance. Make sure your business is fail-proof and ready to pivot at any given moment.
