Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ariel Zimmerman, Founder of Motivational Madness, LLC., located in Sandy, UT, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Fitness, Life, and Money Mindset Coach

  • Behavioral Change Specialist
  • Licensed Massage Therapist
  • And Wellness Retreat Coordinator

I motivate and empower others to reclaim power over their life through movement, meditation, mindfulness practices, massage, and mountain views. My customers are primarily women ages 25+ who are looking to create a better balance between work and home life.

Tell us about yourself.

I first developed a deep passion for holistic health and wealth practices after a nearly fatal car crash back in 2009. I was in massage school at the time and have furthered my career by also becoming a certified personal trainer and behavior change specialist.

I worked in the gyms for 8.5 years before starting my own business in 2020 at the height of the pandemic. My desire to help reduce self-imposed suffering on earth is what motivates me to get up and do what I do every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is the fact that I have managed to create a sustainable business that allows me to do work that I love without having to sacrifice time with family and friends. I have created both time and financial freedom for myself with a business that helps create a powerful and positive change in the world.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is the fact that not everyone will understand why I do what I do, and I had to get over the idea of trying to be liked by everyone.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be authentic.
  2. Stay connected to your "why."
  3. Don't compare yourself to what other people are doing.
