Tell us about yourself
Once I retired from being a professional dancer, I found a dance fitness format where I was able to not only perform but bring happiness to others! This led me into the fitness world, where I could join this amazing team of fierce fitness professionals. I soon became captain and the fitness lead as an NFL Cheerleader and master trainer/guest choreographer for WERQ Dance Fitness. I woke up one day and realized my fitness family needed their own home. We needed a safe place, a judgment-free zone where we could workout. That's when I opened the doors to More Fit! My love for helping others achieve their fitness goals and seeing the smile on their faces walking out of More Fit inspires me every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Group fitness can be intimidating. My main goal when opening More Fit was to create a home and a family where everyone could feel comfortable coming to workout! My biggest accomplishment is hearing clients every day say how grateful they are for More Fit and the amazing friends they've gained. I love that so many can call this home!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being a mom of a 1 and 3-year-old while running a business has been one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner. I love BOTH with all my heart, but every day I work very hard at finding the right balance for my babies and my business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
There's one thing I can say to anyone looking to start, run, or grow a business... If you are passionate about it, if it makes you happy, and if YOU believe in it, then it's possible! You got this!
