What's your business, and who are your customers?
I’m an Energy Healer and Transformation Guide. I help people clear their fear and self-doubt so they can live the life they know they are meant to live using the power of energy healing. I basically help people get unstuck!
I have the gift of seeing energy patterns - where they are in the body, what they are, and the age you were when you trapped them. So my work is in identifying and releasing the root cause of any issue, pattern, or problem you may have. Because, at our core, we are all made of energy! But what you may not know is that all of the non-physical aspects of yourself - your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs - are also made of energy and can be found in very specific places in your body.
I love that I get to work with clients from all over the world! My current clients are from the ages of 0 - 85!
Tell us about yourself
For years I worked in television production, but I began to feel that I wasn’t utilizing all parts of myself, and I wanted to do something that made a difference in people’s lives. Somewhere I had heard that if you ask the Universe a question, by law, it has to answer. So each day, for about four months, I asked the Universe to “show me who I am.” Overall, I’m super practical, and my family was not very spiritual and was certainly not “woo-woo.” So you can only imagine my surprise when I heard a distinct voice say, “You are a healer.” Honestly, I almost fell out of my chair!
This information set off an unusual chain of events, and I was gifted an energy healing course with the promise that I pay it forward. This first class inspired me to become certified in several different healing modalities. From that point on, I started working with people through referrals, and I was able to quit my career in television. Now, I am so happy to spend my days helping my clients transform their lives and make big changes, like starting their dream jobs, becoming pregnant, releasing 100 pounds of body weight, and overcoming the fear of public speaking and fear of flying!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I am proud that I have created a business that I love in every way - from the way that I run my business, the team I have hired, the hours I work (and don’t work), and the freedom to run my business, help others, and create profit while I’m traveling!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things for me was to ask for help as my business grew. I worked over 12 hours a day, nearly every day of the week. I started to burn out even though I loved and believed in my business. The thing that saved me was recognizing that I couldn’t do it alone. So I hired a business coach, two assistants, a copywriter, and a tech person, and this has made all the difference! Now I can focus on what I’m good at - energy healing - and allow others to focus on what they are good at... everything else!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Each of us is born with certain very specific gifts and talents. Find yours and use them!
- Get support. Spend your time in your zone of genius. Hire others to do the things you don’t love or excel at. Work with people who have gifts in the areas you don’t!
- Be authentically you even when it’s scary.
