Tell us about yourself

I am Sandra De Monte, founder of MindBerry group. I'm a qualified BACP-registered Integrative Psychotherapist and certified Online Counsellor who founded MindBerry in 2016. I completed my training at Regent's University London and held a Global Health certification from HarvardX.

In addition to my private practice, my experience includes holding the position of Associate Counsellor at the Royal College of Art, London, and delivering successful mental well-being workshops for large companies such as eBay, Google, Thunes, and many more.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

It's true that being a startup founder is incredibly stressful. Mental well-being is an important factor for every founder. It helps preserve your talents as an innovator and visionary storyteller and helps you optimize your performance as a leader. As a founder, you must make tough and challenging decisions at every stage of your business. You can tackle these decisions with confidence and ease if you have good mental well-being.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Over the years, I have developed a mindset that enables me to look at the dark times as just a period I have to work through. There is mostly a solution for any problem; even though it might not be the best, it is a step forward.

I have learned from my mistakes and grown from them immensely as a person and business owner. And I have learned to listen to my inner voice and trust my instincts.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

As a founder, it's critical to learn fast, minimize mistakes and look around corners of your business, industry, and customers.
