Tell us about yourself

Hi, my name is Aden Eyob; I am the lead consultant, clinical neuroscientist, and the author of the book, The Book on Mind Training: The Secret for Positive Living. It wasn't always like this. From the age of six, I had big dreams. Dreams to be my boss. Dreams of building my mental health center. Dreams to free my family from poverty. However, all I heard was No. Everyone told me it was impossible, but I held a flicker of hope. I then had an epiphany to find my way to my why. My why was to shed light and love on your unheard voice, dream, and aspiration. This, in turn, led me to establish Mind Medication, a fusion of neuroscience-psychology and spirituality-based mindset consulting, coaching, and speaker service.

So now, I've decided to dedicate my life to helping you uncover your why, unlock potential, and free limiting beliefs to achieve your personal and corporate goals.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was receiving the Brainz Magazine CREA Global Award in 2021, recognizing my creative and innovative ideas, adaptability in business, and contribution to the mental health space.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Adaptability to change as challenges are everywhere, and businesses – in general, and start-ups in particular – are no exception to the myriad of pain points we face today. However, having a resilient and growth mindset approach goes a long way and can be cultivated in your language to speak to yourself and the team.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Define what success means to you and your team - is it measurable or intangible? You will have a clear roadmap to achieving your organizational outcome by understanding success.
  2. Failure is your friend - remember that temporary defeat is unequal to failure. Learn to use adversity as the training ground for your business success.
  3. Self-confidence - in the words of Napoleon Hill, 'whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve regardless of how many times you failed.' The key lies in your ability to believe in yourself, even when adversity is knocking. Using Identity centered declarations are simple yet effective mind hacks to boost your self-belief.
