What's your business, and who are your customers?
Mind Flow Wellness is a mental health counseling office that also offers yoga, sound baths, workshops, and a book club. Our clients are diverse, adults from 18- 80 years of age of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Our goal is inclusion. We specialize in treating anxiety and trauma.
Tell us about yourself
After being in fitness for years, I learned that healing our bodies and our minds go together. I have been an LPC for over five years and a yoga teacher for 20 years. After working for several organizations, from corporations to privately owned centers, I decided I wanted a space where I could do both of my passions - counseling and yoga. Each day I look forward to helping my clients on their healing journey.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is growing relationships in counseling and yoga in a way that I have been able to create a community. Moving to a location that gave me space for counseling and yoga has been a dream come true.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Marketing has been the biggest challenge - I have unique offerings, so traditional marketing strategies have not always worked.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Hire professionals when you can, for example, marketers, website design, and anything you can delegate.
- Mistakes will happen. Use them to learn.
- When things are tough, remind yourself of your WHY.
