Healer of Hearts - Mheyah Bailey

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Mheyah Bailey, founder of Connection Point Centre for Discovery, located in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Connection Point Centre for Discovery, I am the CCO-Chief Connection Officer. I call myself that because I collaborate with my clients to connect more deeply to themselves so they can connect more deeply with others in all areas of their lives. Everything is about the quality of our connections, including ourselves. That connection can so easily be derailed by our life experiences, and we are unable to create healthy, meaningful relationships personally or professionally. “85% of our success & happiness in life can be directly attributed to our communication skills.”

I don’t see Connection Point Centre as a business but as a safe place for people to land and where lives can change one conversation at a time. My job is to be curious and compassionate, supporting my clients to learn the wisdom of emotions which are our truth barometer, discover their authenticity, uncover their unconscious core narratives, heal from past trauma and hurt, and learn new skills along the journey so they can feel more empowered, confident & successful making the changes they are hoping for. My clients are from all walks of life and at different stages in life, but most of my clients are seeking a change of some sort. Most people seek support when they are uncomfortable with how they are feeling, are having relationship issues, feel anxious and unhappy, and are exhausted from their lives and the toll it takes not living authentically.

The clients that reach their goals have an unwavering commitment to being responsible for their life experiences. Relationships are really individual work! Humbling, to say the least. My intention has always been to be a facilitator for the meaningful heart-to-heart connection through positive, intentional skilled communication and my hope is that is what my clients take away from our time together.

Tell us about yourself

I have a life story, as we all do, and my human journey has brought me to want to help others to create meaningful & purposeful lives full of love. I think my mission has always been propelled by wanting to help others avoid so many losses and pain as I experienced and to be there as a lifeline while in the life trenches, so to speak. I have had many supportive people in my life that have encouraged, inspired, and taught me that finding happiness is a journey through our own personal evolution, transformation, becoming responsible, fiercely authentic, mindfully empowered, and unfailingly conscious. It is a journey that I feel so honored to share with others because connection gives us a sense of belonging, feeling understood, appreciated, and supported.

Firstly I am just a human doing the best I can and have learned a few things along the way that I want to share with others in collaboration, love, and support so they can have the life they have always wanted by learning to be their authentic wonderful selves. “I am a Healer of Hearts, a Facilitator of Personal Evolution & Transformation” I have been a Professional Counsellor & Certified Transformation Coach specializing in personal empowerment, relationships, conscious communication, attachment, and connection for 20 years. I am motivated every day to be the small difference I make in someone’s life and change the world one conversation at a time.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am not sure how to answer that, but I feel I have accomplished something every time I have heart-to-heart conversations, witness AHA moments, heal and change with my clients. Is that a business accomplishment? Maybe not, but it is a personal accomplishment that I value deeply and is what makes “my business” meaningful.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I tell almost everyone that my life perspective is experienced through feelings as a counselor and colors as a creative, so the hardest thing for me about being a business owner is that I have had to learn “marketing” I can’t think of marketing in the traditional sense of selling myself but know I have something to help others so I have had to reframe my bias about “selling myself” to “sharing what I can offer others with integrity.”

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Always be authentic and have integrity for yourself and others.
  2. Be clear on what you offer, what value you can add to your clients, and the difference you can make for them
  3. Believe in yourself and what you can’t do yourself, hire someone!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I believe it is really important as a business owner to find your tribe, create community and surround yourself with supportive-minded people. We all have something to offer others, no matter what it is. Finding your niche and your community is really valuable. It is all about the connection, isn’t it?
