What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm an Integrative Women's Health Practitioner with over 25 years of clinical expertise. I have an 'East meets West' approach that has helped countless women overcome a vast range of hormonal imbalances, including PCOS, infertility, weight challenges, digestive disorders, anxiety, and depression.

Tell us about yourself

I'm not sure if there's a clear-cut answer to this question. I started with a brick-and-mortar model in the mid-nineties. Over the past two to three years, I transitioned fully into a telehealth practice. It was an organic process that moved from acupuncture and Chinese medicine into Nutrition-Hormone-Lifestyle Coaching. I started taking a deeper dive into functional medicine/nutrition and becoming a really passionate health detective – addressing root cause issues impacting women's hormones and overall health. I love assisting women give birth to the best version of themselves.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've created a business that allows me to assist women of all ages in transforming their lives. I really love what I do!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I'm going through a bit of a new challenge right now! I'm transitioning into a more automated platform that will streamline various aspects of my clinical practice from email, customized health packages/programs, scheduling, billing, and much more. There's a bit of a learning curve with all of this at the moment, but I know it will make my life so much easier as my client base continues to grow, and it's growing!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. If you have a dream, follow it!
  2. Look into online programs, courses, or a business coach to help you structure a smart business model that allows you to grow.
  3. Working hard is important, but it's also important to have YOU time that has NOTHING to do with your business. Go play some pickleball or meet up with friends and go bike riding. Life balance creates clarity, creativity, and financial success.
