What's your business, and who are your customers?

Meeschell is a marketplace exclusive to natural, organic, and eco-friendly products by small businesses and women-inspired brands. Meeschell offers products with a purpose, beneficial to one's health and wellness, all containing clean ingredients.

My customers find Meeschell as a trusted shopping platform when sourcing such products.

Tell us about yourself

Meeschell is my second business. I've owned a full-service marketing agency for 23 years. The idea for Meeschell came about five years ago while I was brand building for a few natural brands. While building a brand awareness strategy, I realized that customers would have a hard time finding such products if marketing budgets were not utilized correctly....and education around the why (benefits of using these products) was not communicated effectively.

I took my passion for relationships with like-minded entrepreneurs and my love for clean ingredients and developed Meeschell. While we are still in the growth stage of business, we are off to a really good start with amazing brands and customers who truly understand our purpose.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The people I surround myself with. I believe that one can never accomplish any objective by herself. I partner with my brands, building a long-term relationship that allows us to work as a team. My motto is, "We are always better together."

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Money. When you are self-funded - it makes it more challenging to reach the masses. You have to be very diligent about how you invest and where you invest...and the "bad" choices can sting a bit. But...that's how we grow and get better...being resourceful is the key and truly understanding what brings value.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Stay connected to a strong network of like-minded people.
  2. Keep your mind open and your options endless...and never try to be the smartest person in the room.
  3. Listen. The more you can learn from others, the more you will grow, both personally and professionally.
