What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a web developer, videographer, and the owner of MediaCor, a digital marketing agency that helps businesses create custom digital marketing strategies tailored to their specific needs. Our customers are businesses of all sizes, from startups to small to mid-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, non-profits, and other organizations.
Tell us about yourself
I started working on my business in 2000 when I worked in the media industry. I was inspired by the success of others and wanted to create something of my own. I have always been passionate about helping people tell their stories and make their dreams come true. This is what motivates me each day to do what I do. I am the founder of Mediacor. Mediacor is a media production company that specializes in creating high-quality video, audio, and interactive content for various clients. Our goal is to help our clients communicate their messages engagingly and effectively. We work with clients to create comprehensive digital strategies, including social media, search engine optimization, content marketing, and more. My mission is to help businesses succeed in the digital age and make an impact on the world.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is launching the internet TV show With the Wind at www.doctorsandscience.com. This show is built on the MediaCor website platform and provides educational content about health and science. I am proud to have built this platform from the ground up and am proud that it is entertaining and informative for viewers. The show has been well-received, and I am pleased to be able to provide quality content to our viewers. One of the most rewarding accomplishments as a business owner is building the site https://www.operationwalkftm.com/ and participating in medical missions to the Dominican Republic as a photographer/videographer and editor. Through this initiative, we provide free and comprehensive joint replacement surgeries to those in need in the Dominican Republic. We have also provided educational opportunities to medical professionals in the Dominican Republic so that they can continue to help provide care to their communities.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is managing work-life balance. It can be challenging to juggle the demands of running a business and finding time to enjoy life outside work. This can lead to increased stress, decreased productivity, and difficulty finding the motivation to continue working.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have a Clear Business Plan: Before you start your business, create a clear plan with realistic goals and objectives. This plan should include the type of business you want to start, how you plan to finance it, your target customers, and how you plan to market and grow your business.
- Automate Day-to-Day Tasks: Automation can help you save time and money, allowing you to focus on the more critical aspects of your business. Find ways to automate mundane tasks such as customer service, accounting, and order processing.
- Listen to Your Clients: Your clients are the lifeblood of your business, so make sure you listen to their feedback. Understand their needs and desires and use this information to improve your products and services. This will help to ensure customer loyalty and increase your chances of success.
