What's your business, and who are your customers?
Meaningful Organizational Design, inc. supports organizations, teams, and leaders to thrive. Our customers are Humanity, Communities, and the Earth. We provide meaningful strategic planning for the highest levels of social and overall stakeholder impact. We coach leaders in Presence Caching, an evidence-based peak performance methodology. Depending on how aspirational your objectives are, we can support long-term transformation or brief concrete troubleshooting engagements.
Tell us about yourself
I believe in humanity; I believe peace on earth is possible. Something inside has guided the biggest life decisions and changes. There was no logic behind my decisions, but I followed the voice. That took me on a study abroad experience, leaving my culture, returning, leaving again, and returning again; so much of our global conflict is based on misunderstanding, a lack of empathy, and ethnocentricism. I’m also motivated by Drive and passion, and the work I had to be something I loved. My career began in the field of cross, cultural training, working with global ex-patriot families, teaching them about other cultures, and helping them transition and adapt. That turned into a desire to support deep personal transformation as a clinical psychologist. In graduate school, I stumbled upon professional and executive coaching, which blended personal transformation with the highest aspirations of what’s possible. My research culminated in our proprietary coaching methodology based on the presence or increasing our quality of relating at any moment. Continuing to follow the voice, a small team of aspirational souls asked a simple question: what if there were an ideal organization or people who went to work together that make the whole world better? The meaningful organizational design provides a tool to help manifest the vision and make it clear, efficient, and sustainable. We support the people to slow down, see more, and tend to the well-being of their families and communities.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Receiving my Ph.D. with an evidence-based coach methodology and the creation of additional holistic tools or lenses for actualizing Human & Organizational potential.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Governance and operational compliance. As a creative, it requires tremendous discipline. That is not my strong suit.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be smart. Be tenacious. Plan around the circular economy. It’s sustainable. It’s meaningful. It pays for itself in many ways.
