Tell us about yourself
After years in customer service and recruitment, I noticed two things. First, there was a need to focus on the local manufacturing workforce. Second, the human element between candidates, recruiters, and clients needed to be strengthened. Manufacturers need highly skilled candidates, and every candidate should have a personalized experience when going through the recruitment process.
What motivates me is that each day I get to meet amazing people, listen to their career goals, and match them in a long-term role that they are passionate about. It is incredibly fulfilling to match the correct candidate to the appropriate role.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
One of my biggest accomplishments as a business owner is the connections and relationships I have built with both clients and candidates. Nothing makes me happier than receiving messages that the candidates love their new job and that the clients’ business is more functional with the added skill set.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is that I am responsible for every aspect of the business, from client acquisition and retention to IT issues.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Celebrate every win, no matter the size.
- Never stop learning; everyone you meet can teach you something.
- Change may be scary, but growth doesn’t happen if you stay in your comfort zone.
