What's your business, and who are your customers?
Cool Cat Blue is an ongoing series of illustrations and animations based on the day-to-day life of a blue superhero robot cat named Cool Cat Blue. My customers come in all shapes and sizes, and they are awesome. :)
Tell us about yourself
I have always enjoyed drawing and using my imagination to create stories. I figured someday I would spend more time on my artwork. One day while attending comic-con for the first time, I discovered the "small press" section, an area for independent artists and comic creators. This showed me how now was the time to share the story of Cool Cat Blue. The response I received the first time I shared Cool Cat Blue with the public was wonderful. People really connected with the character and were drawn to the style and the story. The joy of creating and seeing the smile on someone's face when they are looking at my illustrations is a great gift and motivation.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The daily grind of wearing multiple hats (doing multiple jobs). In the beginning, you may have to be the producer, accountant, project manager, investor, show scheduler, shipping manager, etc.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Treat your customers well.
- Be patient. It often takes time and dedication to get your project up and running.
- Work out a solid plan and set realistic goals ahead of time. This will help you if your motivation starts to run low.
