What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm an Online Business Manager & Systems Strategist specializing in helping online coaches and service providers create the systems they need to grow and scale their businesses.
Tell us about yourself
I originally founded this business in 2008. I was looking for a job where I could work from home and be here for my kids, but my options were severely limited. I stumbled upon an article in Good Housekeeping that mentioned Virtual Assistants. From there, I started working with clients and adding to my skill set and finding my true passion for helping business owners create a business by design, using the latest software and automation to create custom systems tailored to their specific needs and wants.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to provide for my family and create a freedom-based business allowed me to be home with them.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Knowing when to shut down for the day and let things be so that I could be fully present for my loved ones. I'm a workaholic at heart, and it's hard to find that balance when it's so easy to pop open the laptop and do one more thing.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Choose a business model based on your personality and lifestyle.
- Document your processes as you go so that you can easily delegate when the time comes.
- Whenever possible, invest in shortcuts. It could be a coach or mentor to guide you or a specialist to do things for you.
