What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a dating coach for single women who are looking for a healthy, loving, and sparkling relationship. My customers are mostly women who have everything in their lives except for their 'cherry on the top.'

Tell us about yourself

I was someone who was really bad when it came to dating. I kept on attracting men who would not be able to give me what I needed. Not that I wanted too much, but I just wasn't focused enough on attracting the right person for me. So because of that, a lot of lost time and heartbreaks. And the problem was... I wasn't aware of it. I also didn't always position myself as a 'Mrs. Right' so no wonder the high-quality men I, every now and then, attracted didn't want to invest in me. And I also didn't understand how love really works. How the other person feels loved, and how to create desire. So, I kept on falling into what I now call 'date pitfalls.'

My dating life, therefore, felt like an emotional rollercoaster without the result that I was looking for: the man I was longing for. Then I started to study dating, relationships, men, and myself and I saw that I just had more success. And that eventually led to finding the right partner and having an amazing relationship now. And that is what I want to learn about women. My mission is to teach them about men, dating, relationships, and themselves, so they not only attract the right partner but also build lasting relationships.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

That someone is getting married! So great to see people fall in love and be so happy. For a long time, I thought 'making money' was the most important thing. But only money cannot be the why of why we do this. It goes way deeper than that.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

So many things to do. I am the CEO but also the one who does the books. I am the one making my own website, but I also coach clients. I do the marketing, but I also pay the company bills. Now I can still manage, but after some time, I need to start delegating.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do it your way. Do listen to how other people run their businesses successfully but see if it actually works for you. I, for example, don't like to do webinars. It works, but I don't like it.
  2. Don't let money be your only 'why.' If you enjoy what you do, the money will come.
  3. KISS: Keep it simple, stupid. Haha.
