What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our brand is the ultimate destination for luxury self-care and relaxation. Walking, laying, or sitting on our acupressure mats promotes physical and mental well-being. Our customers range from athletes seeking to increase performance to those looking for pain and tension relief after a stressful day.
Tell us about yourself
The first time I walked on an acupressure mat was when I was 11 years old, living in a monastery in India. I felt the effects right away and could feel energy running through my entire body. That set me on a mission to seek out teachers and masters of acupressure, reflexology, and natural remedies to expand my knowledge. Seeing the results on myself and marma mat's customers motivates me each day to continue to share this product and the wisdom that comes with it.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Seeing the positive impact that marma mat has on people's daily lives is our greatest accomplishment. Empowering individuals to take charge of their mental and physical health by using our reflex toning mats has been a truly rewarding experience.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Taking complete self-responsibility is the most challenging part of owning a business. At the end of the day, we must take responsibility for every decision, no matter how small or large. By understanding the impacts of our decisions, we can become better owners and leaders.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Choose your product or service wisely. Choose something that you truly believe in and can stand behind for years to come.
- Be brave and confident enough to trust in yourself and your decisions.
