What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am an independent, certified Life Languages™️ communication coach. I serve small and medium-sized businesses, nonprofits, civic organizations, and churches, as well as individuals and couples.
Tell us about yourself
I've been a networker all my adult life. Starting as a leadership coach, I quickly recognized that most people struggle with communication. If I lack self-awareness of my unique wiring and preferred communication styles, then I will find it a challenge to connect with others. Conversely, if I learn to recognize the communication styles of those around me, we will form effective connections and realize the potential of our differing strengths. From that point forward, I have focused purely on communication, and I love to see how learning the Communication IQ™️ system helps everyone become effective communicators. It's the science and art of words and actions. Together we build bridges, not boxes.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a certified coach and coach trainer with Life Languages International, I not only help people learn to communicate effectively, but I also train coaches in this simple yet profoundly powerful tool.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Like most solo entrepreneurs, I struggle with isolation and a lack of powerful connections. I have worked hard to overcome this challenge for myself and now find great satisfaction in being there for others.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
You can succeed in business if you understand yourself, learn the tools to connect with others, and focus on those you serve (meeting their needs and validating their passions and strengths).
