What's your business, and who are your customers?

With a growing network, I thought I'd quickly introduce myself to you!! I am Maria Fontana, a business consultant and growth strategist for extraordinary entrepreneurs.

Most people know me as a purpose-driven salon owner and a businesswoman helping beauty industry professionals get clarity & grow profitable, aligned businesses. But what you may not know about me is that I started my first business at 19 years old and hit six figures in that First year.

After 14 years of amazing success, I came to a screeching halt. I found myself struggling with depression, divorced with two kids, and financially ruined by the divorce. After hitting rock bottom, I knew I had to rebuild my life and business not only for me but for my children. Here is where I committed to an intense journey of personal healing development and re-launching a new business by investing heavily in my own growth. I discovered a gift for launching businesses and helping others get massive clarity and grow profitable on their own terms with freedom from outside expectations. What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Creating a life of financial and time freedom, being able to enjoy life, and creating a legacy for my children. Not to mention helping others find success on their terms.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

In the changing world and economic environment, I must always be ready to be flexible and shift to what the market needs.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be true to yourself and love what you do!
  2. You Must have a plan, money, and a mentor who actually did the thing you want to do successfully; seek support.
  3. Selfcare and working on your personal development and MINDSET is a Must, be mindful of who you share your dreams with and precious time.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Yes, I have been a successful entrepreneur since I was 19, 36 years, and I want to share that you can do or be anything you desire in business as long as you stay focused on your core mission, soul calling, and surround yourself with like-minded people, don't let anyone tell you can't. But, yet be smart and only hire and take advice from real seasoned business mentors, not insta-coaches who sell you a crock of sh#@ online and promise instant success; every overnight success story took at least ten years in the real world.
