What's your business, and who are your customers?

I have a restaurant, wine vacation company, and luxury Airbnbs, and I'm a restaurant coach/consultant.

Tell us about yourself

I've been in the hospitality business since I was 14. I've owned my own restaurant since 2003 and have developed other businesses as a result of my restaurant experience.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being in business for 18 years and developing other streams of income from the restaurant.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The staff is the biggest challenge. I've developed a platform for restaurant team training that I sell to other restaurant operators.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be a marketing maniac.
  2. Don't give up.
  3. Pay yourself from day one.
