What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a Certified Abundance Mindset Coach and Canfield Success Principles Trainer, the author of "Manifest Your Life of Greatness," and the founder of "Manifest with Parizad." I am an author, a keynote speaker, and an Abundance Mindset Coach who offers in-person and digital workshops to clients worldwide.
Tell us about yourself
Having been a practitioner of meditation and the Law of Manifestation all my life, I bring a unique perspective of having been brought up in a family practicing and implementing the Laws of Manifestation from the very beginning of my life as well as from the perspective of being a parent myself and bringing up my children with these principles. What lights me up is seeing other people light up when they see their life work!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The ability to pivot in order to survive. I started as a coach teaching in person; however, with the pandemic, I had to pivot to teaching online and eventually creating digital products out of my workshops so that I could reach a global audience without the restrictions of time zones. Now that the pandemic is under control, I’m back to teaching in person as well. The book was also a product of the downtime I had during the pandemic.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Facing your fears of failure or rejection Knowing when to stop deliberating and planning and when to take the chance and give it a shot.
I have learned that success happens when you lean into it—when you make yourself open to opportunities and are willing to do what it takes to pursue them further—without a promise of success. You start. You lean into it. You see what it feels like. And you find out if you want to keep going or what adjustments you need to make versus sitting on the sidelines deliberating, reflecting, and planning.
One of the most extraordinary benefits of just leaning into it is that you begin creating momentum—that unseen energy force that brings more opportunity, more resources, and more people who can help you into your life at seemingly the right time for you to benefit the most from them.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Lean into it :)
- Intentionally and actively solicit feedback. Most people fear asking for corrective feedback because they fear what they will hear. But you are better off knowing the truth than not knowing the truth. When you avoid asking for feedback, you are the only one who is not in on the secret. Once you know it, you can do something about it. You can't fix what you don't know is broken.
- Ask for what you want, and reject rejection. If you don't ask for that piece of advice, for that loan, or for that upgrade, you are rejecting yourself! If you ask and get a no, you are in the same place you are now, so there is nothing to lose and everything to gain. Some will, some won't, so what? Someone is waiting :)
