Interested in starting your entrepreneurial journey in personal development, but not sure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Renée Warren, founder of We Wild Women, from Kelowna, BC, Canada.

Tell us all about your business...

We help coach, train, and motivate women to grow their dream businesses for female entrepreneurs seeking to scale their business to their first $1M in revenue.

What's your background and motivation to grow as a solopreneur?

I started We Wild Women as a channel to help incredible women in business find the knowledge and confidence to grow their businesses. My mission is to inspire and motivate 1 million women to launch and grow their dream business because we need more women in positions of power. Entrepreneurship is an excellent vessel for this.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

In the same year, I launched my $1M agency; I had two babies, which led me to become systems rich, build a great team, and be world-recognized for our work. I subsequently won some awards, published a book, and had the honor to work with hundreds of outstanding female entrepreneurs.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a solopreneur?

Managing people. Many first-time entrepreneurs go into business not knowing that the things that will help them succeed are the people they hire. Every problem in the industry is a people problem, and if you aren't a great leader or hire someone to be the great leader or you, you will fail fast!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run or grow a small business today?

  1. Complete a detailed customer discovery process before ever spending money on your idea. You have to ask questions that could very well disprove your concept. The point is to launch something people need and pay cash for, or it's not a business.
  2. Hire a great lawyer and accountant on day one.
  3. READ, study the greats, and 'rob and duplicate' their systems for success.4. Bonus: Do ONE thing. Single focus, go deep, become best-in-class for that one thing.
