Tell us about yourself
I started in my kitchen 11 years ago, searching for healthy whole food protein-packed for my family. We own a gym in Truro, and I started selling them. I baked around the clock to fill orders, stores started wanting them, and I aligned with a bakery. We are now sold all over Canada and in some stores in the states.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment, I would say, is stepping outside my comfort zone and building my brand, receiving recognition in business, and just watching people enjoy what I created.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I think there can be many aspects that can make owning a business difficult it’s important to be true to yourself and your brand, trust the process, know your worth, and keep your mindset clear.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don’t sell yourself short.
- Knowing your worth aligns with like-minded people.
- Accept help when you need it.
