What's your business, and who are your customers?
I offer reiki healing energy medicine to anyone and everyone, including pets. We all feel out of balance sometimes, and reiki is one way to balance the energy in your body for overall health and wellness.
Tell us about yourself
Three years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The hospital offered reiki as part of its cancer treatment plan. It helped me so much I decided to leave my corporate life and study reiki, and now I am a full-time reiki practitioner.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I became a reiki master two weeks before covid lockdown. So frankly, just getting a business up and running during such a crazy time. I also offer reiki distance sessions, which are over the phone. This was very helpful during the crazy quarantine times, and I have several clients who still prefer treatment this way.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Getting my name out there. Most of my clients are repeat customers, but it's always hard getting them in the door in the first place.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Keep at it.
- Don't apologize for the job. You need to pay the bills while you are setting up your business.
- Stay positive, and the universe will provide.
