What's your business, and who are your customers?

Hey, there! I'm Kare, and I am a manifestation and success mentor and the founder of Magnetic Unicorn Coaching Services. We help visionary unicorns be themselves to create their dream reality, live life on their own terms, do what they love, and clear their past shit and pain.

People who like to work with us are visionaries and leaders who believe in the impossible, stop at nothing to achieve their goals in life, always want to improve and get to their next level, enjoy their time, energy, and location freedom, and they love to make a living doing what they want while making an impact on the world :) What a great payout!

Tell us about yourself

Since I was eight years old, I had always worked for someone else, for the big players, for my loved ones who were entrepreneurs - I worked at Mitsui & Co, Shopify, and on a business that raised over a million dollars on Kickstarter, to name a few. I acquired many skills in social media management, event hosting/facilitation, business coaching, customer support, business development, networking, copywriting, content creation, and administrative/operational support.

I didn't have the courage to do things on my own or move forward with the things I really wanted to do in my life, despite having so many great skills - if I could clone myself, I'd be able to run a company; on my own! (haha)

I owned my own freelance video editing business in my early 20s. I gave up on it after not lining up with ideal clients and businesses. I went through a breakup in 2019 and also sucked at networking, and that made me realize that I had no goals and that I was not open to growth; I was so involved in helping other people make their dreams come true that I forgot about my own, so I thought about what I wanted to do and realized that I wanted to be a life coach and start my own business helping people get to their next level in life!

I originally created Magnetic Unicorn to teach people how to network better at networking events, but after the pandemic, I pivoted to coaching people with their career transitions and mentoring people to manifest abundance, wealth, and aligned relationships. I wanted to manifest my ex-boyfriend back, and then I didn't want to anymore and just wanted to help people make their dreams become a reality!

I get motivated to get up every day to work on my business because I have an unshakeable desire and love to make the impossible possible. I love seeing my client's faces light up whenever they have a major breakthrough, boost of confidence, or epiphany. Of course, I love hearing their results during and after the time we work together. This work is so fulfilling, and I'm so grateful to call it my career. I also love being able to work wherever I want, whenever I want, and enjoy the life that I have always dreamed of since I was a child - wearing the clothes I want, playing outside in the grass often, talking to friends, and loved ones, playing with my dog, eating ice cream and pizza whenever I'd like, and making lots of new connections and friends along the way :)

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

There are so many accomplishments!! I recently hired a virtual assistant and am working with a coach 1:1 for my business and life. I also opened up my business bank account. These were three major things I wanted to accomplish when I started my business three years ago, but I was so worried about not having all the pieces/time/money together that I never started it. It is really so fulfilling and liberating to finish these tasks and have the support I need, and get the administrative things put together for my business so that I can focus on what I do best, like coaching and getting my clients results and being the CEO of my life!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I would say keeping the momentum going is one of the hardest things about being a business owner. It is so easy to have a vision, but if you don't have the right support, resources, or a plan to follow and you're running on gears that are on overdrive, it will be very easy to get burnout overwhelmed, and give up on your business.

There were so many times when I was ready to give up and call it a day with my business because I was so frustrated and burnt out when things weren't working, I didn't have enough support, but once I became aware of this and acknowledged it, I was able to hold space for myself and get the support that I needed to keep me moving forward with my business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make a business plan - Nothing gets done without a plan first, so spend some time creating a business plan and outlining what your vision looks like. Write it down on paper and on your computer. While you don't have to follow it to a tee, it'll help you solidify your vision so that you can take small steps to make your business become a reality!
  2. Get support - Whatever you don't want to do, whatever drains you, whatever you need help with it - be it cleaning your house, posting on social media, cooking for yourself, etc... get someone or a team to support you with this! You want to work on your business when you're supported and energized, not from a place of overwhelm or burnout, so it's important to get the support you need so that you can focus on what you do best in your business ;)
  3. Have Fun - Running a business isn't the easiest thing, and it can get really boring at times, but whatever you're doing, always remember to have fun in your business. Throw success parties, celebrate every win, progress and accomplishment, and brag about it!! What you focus on grows :)

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I think that no matter what kind of business idea you have, there will always be a way to make it happen. The odds are always in your favor, and whenever you get stuck or feel like giving up, always remember your why. And always, always have fun in your business and make time for yourself!
