What's your business, and who are your customers?
Lynn Payne Art, I am a painter specializing in portraits of people, pets, and homes. My customers are sophisticated and design-savvy, many being repeat clients.
Tell us about yourself
I started out doing pen and ink house renderings and advertisements for local retailers and developed my painting skills. I am motivated by a strong desire to create and stay inspired by my surroundings.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I am able to work at what I love and get paid for it.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Keeping up with promoting my work through social media and emails.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Know yourself and stay true to yourself, discover what sets you apart, and don't compare yourself to others.
- Don't commit to a deadline that you can't fulfill.
- Kindness, respect, and integrity are three words that I hope reflect in my service.
