What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a candle company that serves ALL candle lovers. LynLuv Candles are made with all-natural soy wax. This means that you won't find any paraffin or additives in our wax. Soy wax has natural properties that may alter the aesthetics of the candle. It is OKAY to see frost or sinkholes on your candle tops! It will never affect the fragrance.
Tell us about yourself
I am a wife and mother of two. I began making candles about three years ago to step away from my normal routine. Like others, the pandemic forced me to pick up a hobby. This hobby turned into a business after receiving so many positive reviews. Each day, I am motivated to create candles that will brighten someone's day. Whether it be after a long shift, after cleaning your home, or just pairing it with a glass of wine, I know it brings joy to my customers.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is the happiness I am able to bring to my customers. When a client says, "I can't wait to go home and light this!" This feeling is incomparable! It's even better when they express their love for a particular scent.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being a business owner requires you to be self-disciplined. You don't have the luxury of having someone to fall back on. Your business is your baby, and it only has you!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Begin to work on being self-disciplined.
- Treat your business like a plant. Nurture it and watch it GROW.
- Failures are expected to happen. Learn from them and move on.
