Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lydia Bachmeier, Founder of Lydia Bachmeier LLC., located in Gig Harbor, WA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help spiritual entrepreneurs who are struggling to achieve their goals quit self-sabotaging, silence their inner critic, and build the right success-oriented mindset that will help them succeed in their lives and businesses. I'm a mindset coach, manifestation mentor, and personal transformation expert offering programs that work with the deepest, most powerful part of your mind: the subconscious. Together, we reprogram your beliefs so they're in alignment with the version of you who will carry out your soul's purpose. That life you've been dreaming about becomes inevitable once you finally believe it's your destiny and that you're worthy of it!

Tell us about yourself

I started my career in corporate retail leadership, where my greatest passion was developing my team into leaders. When I left that 50-hour work week to stay home with my two babies, I felt that pull to mentor others continuing to tug at my heartstrings, and that's how I discovered online coaching. I quickly studied up to refine my craft and got certified in success coaching, hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming, Emotional Freedom Technique, TIME techniques, and breathwork in order to provide top-notch, cutting edge, and highly effective transformational modalities to my clients. I'm motivated to do what I do because I'm a product of my own work.

I've been the girl who hated herself deep down, who thought she was worthless, who believed she needed to settle, and I've come out on the other side. I know how powerful it is when you shift into a new version of yourself and feel that bliss of complete alignment. I'm also extremely passionate about the importance of embodying everything that I teach my students and clients, and therefore I continue to heal, grow and learn, and I always will.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishments are always immeasurable because I'm in the work of happiness, changing lives, and making dreams of true. Don't get me wrong! It's always amazing when a program or product I offer "sells out" or earns me the most money I've made to date. It's equally, if not more amazing when a client manifests thousands of dollars or their dream apartment or a soul mate connection. But my greatest accomplishments, the ones I savor the most, are the sweet emails I get from clients who tell me that I reminded them of their own power or that they finally feel free, loved, or confident enough to take any action they've been scared of. Those are the absolute best and the reason I know I'll be in this work for the rest of my life.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I'm a firm believer that running a successful business is 80% mindset and 20% skill. I've also found that most entrepreneurs, myself included, obsess over their skills or lack thereof way more than necessary. Because of this, they believe that they aren't good enough at what they do to even be doing what they're doing, and the actions they take lack the luster they need to succeed. It's a vicious manifestation cycle or self-fulfilling prophecy commonly referred to as imposter syndrome. What most people don't realize is that their mind is hard-wired to focus intently on that which they desire, so part of your mind is always bringing you evidence of it all around you. That's why it can feel like you're the only one who isn't successful yet. It's your reality's algorithm! You naturally see all of the opportunities for where you could be better rather than your true strengths. The fact that one even feels like an imposter proves how much integrity they have and how passionate they are about what they do! Everyone feels it from time to time, even those successful people you look up to. The key is shifting so that you can manage it and live with it.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Develop a strong, positive mindset and plan to continue to uplevel it for the rest of your life. With every level of success will come new mindset challenges, and you are an ever-evolving being, so accept and enjoy the journey.
  2. Find a mentor who truly embodies who you want to become and a like-minded community. The people who you've known forever won't recognize the new you, and they won't mean to, but they'll try to pull you back into your old life like crabs in a bucket. You'll need people to lean on who gets it and who is in the biz-owner trenches too.
  3. Plan to put in some work upfront to make it easy later. Not every idea will pan out the way you want, and certain things will need streamlining or workflows created. It's worth the long hours and late nights when it's for yourself, your life, and your legacy! The freedom of time will come if you plan and set yourself up for it.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

You are always exactly where you're meant to be. Learn to embrace and even welcome failure's feedback as it's your best teacher (even when it stings!).
