Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Charley Galbreath, Founder of Luv thy Yoni, located in Las Vegas, NV, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is called Luv Thy Yoni. We provide organic hygiene products to women for the yoni (vagina) to aid vaginal health and cleanliness.

Tell us about yourself

I got interested in yoni care after my first yoni steam. I was able to relax and meditate while feeling the steam enter my vagina and work its medicinal properties. Various herb combinations can help with dryness, odor, bacterial vaginosis (BV), help soothe the irritation of herpes flare up, painful Menstrual cycle, increase libido, etc. I wanted to share this experience with other women. Some women may not be comfortable doing the yoni steam in a public setting, so I wanted to find a way women could experience this self-care opportunity from the comfort of their homes. Upon research, I found there are other ways to achieve this effect besides steaming. This effect can also be achieved through suppositories, pads, and soaps and also allows the process to be completed overnight, which won’t take any extra time out of their day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My business is still in its early stages of growth. A big accomplishment for me was when a client asked me to come and speak to a group of her friends to educate them on yoni care. This allowed me to explore a different avenue of my business where I am able to educate and empower women through yoni health.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Staying consistent and finding ways to invest at least an hour in your business a day, no matter what else is going on in life. You can spend 8 hours a day at work helping to build someone else’s dream, don’t forget to spend time building your dream. You have to start somewhere; if you don’t start, you can’t succeed.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Invest in yourself. Educate yourself about the business; don’t just jump off the porch. Stay teachable; you will never know everything. Learn all you can and bring it to your audience.
  2. Get a mentor. A mentor can help you to advance your business and avoid costly mistakes that will cost you money and time.
  3. Be patient, enjoy the process, and stay consistent.
