What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a Youtube Channel where I teach Stock Market trading/investing while building my personal brand! My customers are investors and stock traders who want to take their performance to the next level while keeping a long-term mindset!
Tell us about yourself
Freedom. I was motivated the most when I felt like I was at the bottom, ya know? I just wanted to make money on my own terms. I didn't like having a boss and wasn't interested in working my way up the corporate ladder. I've always wanted to be the guy who owns all of his successes and failures. They are both parts of the long-term process, and I want to be doing this for another ten years, at least!
My main motivation is definitely my fans. I get dozens of messages a day.
"Yo, keep it pushing, my man."
"I remember when you started, love to see your growth."
I could go on and on with examples of the people around me continuing to push me forward, and they don't allow me to get lazy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has to be the community that I've created. Community creation is such an awesome goal for anyone who is entrepreneurial. The coolest part is the fact that you created a product or service that has brought like-minded people together. Just knowing that without you, this wouldn't be possible! When people have a community to reach out to, they tend to learn and earn faster!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
So many things. I'd single out the comparison to others. Some days you wake up as a business owner and know you're going to lose money that day. Maybe you have to re-order products, car issues, employees mess up, etc. It's keeping your head on straight to push through that. Paying yourself last is super beneficial when it comes to long-term success in a business. Take your punches and keep on moving!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't be afraid to borrow money to get yourself going in the right direction! Investing in yourself is the only place you can get unlimited returns! The more you learn, the more you earn.
- Take care of your core customers; it means the world to them. Word-of-mouth marketing is the BEST marketing form there is. Especially if you can make an impact right out of the gate, you'll only be a green light in their minds!
- Follow your interests. Focus on your passions and hire out the rest of the work. Your time and energy are worth more than money. Time and energy are limited. Money is unlimited.
