What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am an acupuncturist and herbalist. My patients are all brave and curious people interested in the role of Chinese Medicine in their life.
Tell us about yourself
I was introduced to this medicine through my mother and grandmother. It's been over 15 years since I first experienced Chinese Medicine, and I've seen it do incredible things. Receiving seasonal acupuncture and daily taking Chinese herbs over time dissolved my many ovarian cysts and helped my body prepare to have children. Needless to say, I love this medicine. My patients, friends, and family (especially my kids) all inspire me to learn and grow in this medicine (and life) every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Keeping the doors open despite having kiddos! While it takes more energy and logistics than ever, I love being able to help my community despite the many other hats I wear.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I'm not a super lover of the internet/social media, and that seems to be where everyone is now! I find present life so beautiful, and it's hard to capture that and then bring it online. Tech challenges are hard too, and getting my service and products to the world can be time-consuming-- but worth it.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
