What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm the founder of LivingLocurto.com, a DIY lifestyle and food blog where you can find fun and easy recipes, DIY gifts, and party ideas to celebrate life!
Tell us about yourself
What started in July 2008 as a blog about creative things I did at home with my kids, Living Locurto, has since turned into a popular DIY lifestyle brand that reaches millions per month through our social media channels and website. I love inspiring others to be more creative at home to make entertaining and even everyday activities special and fun!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment so far is still being in the social media influencer industry after 15 years! I've had so many amazing opportunities and partnered with hundreds of brands. It's been an amazing time, and I look forward to many more years!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is consistently doing what makes your business money while also getting the many behind-the-scenes business tasks done. You have to be willing to put in a lot of time and effort!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My three tips for anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today would be to first figure out what can make your business stand out from the rest. Second, set both short-term and long-term goals, and third, stay consistent. Even if you are not seeing growth right away, if you keep going, pivot with your industry changes, and don't quit, you'll be successful.
