Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Hally Brooke, founder and CEO of Live Nourished Coaching & Training, located in Colorado Springs, CO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a functional medicine health coaching and nutrition counseling practice. That means we go after the root causes of "dis-ease" to help people feel their best. I am passionate about helping build thriving leaders who build thriving families and businesses! If you, as your business's leader, are unwell physically or mentally, you're not going to be able to lead your business well.

Maslow‘s hierarchy of needs tells us that nutrition, physical health, and our physical space are the top three things we need in order to build off of. If you, our CEOs and entrepreneurs, are overweight, struggling with chronic fatigue, and dealing with digestive issues related to stress and poor nutrition, you are not going to be able to reach your full potential.

Tell us about yourself

I am the Founder & CEO of Live Nourished, a Certified Functional Medicine Nutrition Counselor, Nationally Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, Fox 21 Fitness & Nutrition Expert, and fierce industry advocate.

What started as pure personal training has morphed over the years into a full wellness and nutrition practice. I learned from years of education and experience working with clients that simply doing squats isn't going to cut it when it comes to being fully well. From that experience, I built a thriving Functional Medicine Coaching practice that works with clients in ALL the key areas of wellness, including movement, nutrition, mindset, resilience, relationships, and self-care.

My life mission is to encourage, empower and free both men and women by teaching healing. Whether as clients, through speaking events, or personally with the people I encounter, I live this mission day in and day out.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have grown a business from a solopreneur practice to an international company in 5 years and am helping people and businesses thrive every day!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Honestly, every single day, walking into my office and figuring out what to do next. I have no business background. I was a political science major and math teacher for nine years. The bravest thing I do in running my business is figuring it out one day at a time!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. HIRE WELL!!! Get the right people on the bus regardless of their skills. WHO they are is more important than what they do. The right people will help you grow. Period.
  2. Just keep going. You never know if you're going to quit 5 minutes before the miracle.
  3. Take care of YOU FIRST! You are your business, so if you aren't healthy and well, your business won't be either. Prioritize sleep and mental and physical health above your to-do list. Your business will actually profit more if you do.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

This is me accepting the position of Premier Success Coach for the International Entrepreneurial Women's Network.
