Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in mental wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Greg German, Founder of LifeCraft, located in Cochrane, AB, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

LifeCraft serves the community in two ways. One is through our clinical practice, where we deliver LifeCraft Therapy, a safe and gentle form of clinical therapy proven effective for depression, anxiety, addiction, PTSD, eating disorders, and behaviour change, often in a single session.

Tell us about yourself

I believe deeply that human beings are beings of purpose. I believe that we all have a unique collection of gifts, skills, passions, and interests, and these interests have a purpose. I believe that when we surrender to the fullest expression of our purpose, choosing to move love and energy through our gifts in purposeful ways in service of our world, we access the most meaningful, fulfilling, and abundant life available to us. LifeCraft and the work we do is the result of an intentional surrender into the most purposeful expression of my gifts in service of our world.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've created LifeCraft Therapy over the past 7500 clinical hours of intentional evolution. I'm proud to have created a therapy that is deeply transformational, even for people who've found little or no relief in typical standards of care.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Entrepreneurship is a true challenge, especially if you're leaning in fully, which involves vulnerability. I think the hardest thing about being a business owner is maintaining a sense of enoughness, worthiness, and lovability that is independent of the business and its success. If you can't do this, your life will be hard.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be humble, and choose to measure your success with things you can control. If you bravely surrender, if you give all you have, and if you use these as your metric for success, your success is in your hands (and very likely).
