Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in coaching but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Daphna Levy, Founder of Life Coaching Masters, located in Pasadena and Bakersfield, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We save marriages and relationships. Couples come to us as a last resort, and we give them the tools they need to stop fighting and arguing, regain trust and rekindle their spark. We also help individuals through Life Coaching, help them with practical tools to solve their issues, utilize their potential, and achieve their goals. The testimonials on our site say it best - www.MarriageAide.com/testimonials.

Tell us about yourself

I've always wanted to make a difference, even as a little girl. From a young age, I was an avid reader searching for answers and wanting to help. In 1986, before Life Coaching became popular, I started my business. I soon discovered that relationships came in the way of even the most dynamic individuals, and I started focusing on that, including writing two Amazon bestsellers on communication. What motivates me each day is the desire to help the next person, couple, or family transform their lives, take the "craziness" out of it and replace it with harmony and productivity. What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The lives I've transformed through the system I created and being able to train others to do the same. I now have two California offices - in Pasadena and Bakersfield - and my coaches are getting results that are as good as the ones I get!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Persistence. Believing in yourself and your goals and not giving up on your vision. There are obstacles, and many people won't understand or agree, and you have to push forward and do what YOU see is right until you achieve it!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a product or service in mind that truly benefits people.
  2. Ensure you can provide that product or service and be effective.
  3. Work diligently at it.
  4. Work smart.
  5. Don't get discouraged or, if you do, keep going despite it.
