What's your business, and who are your customers?

Leap2growth is a profit acceleration firm helping businesses to increase their profit. In the process, our clients develop a good working culture that helps to prevent employee turnover. Our typical clients are dentists, dermatologists, chiropractors, and health centers; however, we have a few customers from varied industries as well, such as lawyers, software companies, breweries, cleaning companies, and so on. Our system is simple and works for almost every business. If you are determined and ambitious to grow your business and increase the profit (not just revenue), that's what we do best.

Tell us about yourself

I was in the military (British army), and I have worked alongside my American counterparts over the years. I left the military to go to the school of dentistry, but then, my wife was pregnant, so I had to be around to help with the day-to-day activities. I applied for a position in one of the giant IT companies in Europe and got the role - of infrastructure engineer. I enjoyed it; I spoke to a lot of clients but coming from the military, I had too much energy to spare at the end of the day. Being in the office all day as well was not something I was used to after years in the military. I took my destiny into my own hands, resigned from the IT firm, and started a cleaning company (Don't be afraid to start small). I grew the cleaning company to a large company and turned it into a facility management company, with cleaning being 15% of the company's makeup. Now we do maintenance jobs - refurbishment, paintwork, joinery/carpentry, pest control, and many more and still growing. I then sold small percentages to trusted friends at a very low price. The reason is for them to operate the company, and I can move on to my next business. I then went on to start a digital marketing business and a real estate company applying the same processes as in the facilities management company. I am now coaching and sometimes consulting for businesses to accelerate their profits. Profits resolve almost every problem in business.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing the joy and smiles on business owners' faces and their appreciation when they see their profit numbers jump in 6 months to a year. The relief path gives families and unifies them. It's great to be in the business of bringing happiness to families.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The responsibility of taking on people's problems and making them your own until they are resolved more, especially when you've just started your business and looking for all the answers. If you really care about your clients, this comes naturally.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't be afraid to start small.
  2. Listen to the advice of people in your industry, especially, but the final decision is yours. Take the best out of it and ignore the rest.
  3. Be persistent, consistent, and precise.
  4. Acknowledge what you don't know and see the knowledge or get an expert to guide you.
  5. Go with the mindset of a winner. You are in it to win.
