What's your business, and who are your customers?

I work with emerging and established high-achieving leaders to help them take their impact and effectiveness to the next level. My clients run businesses or serve as executives and managers in organizations. They recognize certain roadblocks to their growth as leaders, and we work together to help them overcome these obstacles quickly and effectively. My support includes targeted conversations where we identify and address challenges and a leadership development training curriculum that helps clients grow in key areas of successful leadership.

Tell us about yourself

I've been obsessed with personal and professional growth and development for most of my life. Recognizing my own need for development early on sent me on a quest to become an expert in this area. I've been privileged to work and study with some of the brightest minds at leading institutions. I bring a unique, original, and effective skillset to support my clients, combining social science, philosophy, ancient wisdom, spirituality, ethics, and organizational dynamics. I'm well aware of my need for continual improvement, and I love partnering with others on this journey.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing clients have breakthroughs. I love those "aha" moments where a line of questioning helps a client notice a limiting belief or inhibiting framework. It's exciting to see them "flip the script" on themselves, moving toward more empowering ways of seeing their situation, and leveraging new insights toward rapid growth and success.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

There are lots of challenges, so it's important to find the work satisfying and to be driven by your vision to help others. These challenges include identifying your niche and value proposition, clarifying the pain points you can address, connecting with prospects, and ensuring you can run profitably.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Conduct informational interviews with your imagined prospective clients to clarify their needs.
  2. Do the hard work of clarifying what it is you have to offer to speak to those needs and add value to their lives.
  3. Start early and small. Grow the business only when you need to. Don't make growth the end goal.
