What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business is beating NYC parking tickets. Our customers are all the people that drive in NYC.
Tell us about yourself
I practiced law in New Jersey for 35 years and decided it was time for a change. I was passionate about marketing, website design, and helping people. Likewise, New Yorkers were passionate about the injustice of parking tickets. But, when I researched the marketplace, there were people fighting tickets but no one educated people about the rules, laws, and how to beat tickets.
So, a partner and I started New York Parking Ticket in 2008 to help educate and fight tickets. Fast forward to the present; more than 11 million people have visited our website. Meanwhile, I am thrilled to continue to help educate people and fight unjust parking tickets.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I am overjoyed that I have helped so many people from all over the world to safely navigate the dangerous streets of NYC.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Trying to look around the corner and anticipate what the future holds for your business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Choose or create a business you are passionate about.
- Be transparent.
