What's your business, and who are your customers?
A law office providing a wide range of legal services, and my clients are anyone needing a lawyer.
Tell us about yourself
I graduated from St. Mary’s University with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and a Master’s in Business Associations. While in law school, I served as a member of the St. Mary’s Clinical Program providing Pro Bono legal aid to many of San Antonio’s homeless in the areas of Social Security Disability and Consumer Protection.
I took an interest in Criminal Law during law school and became a founding member of the Restorative Justice Organization at St. Mary’s. I served as an intern at The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, the highest criminal court in Texas, in Austin for Judge Barbara Hervey in 2009. I concluded my law studies at The University of Texas. I’ve been actively involved in the community of Austin through Scouting and Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity. Through APO and Scouting, I completed thousands of volunteer service hours for the Austin community. I currently serve as the Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity Section 43 Chair and Region 7 Leadership Development Chair. I was also asked to participate in the Young Lawyers Leadership Academy in 2013.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I think growing my business in many practice areas and providing high-quality service.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Dealing with difficult attorneys.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Work hard.
