What's your business, and who are your customers?
Essential Pelvic Health provides an integrative whole-person approach to pelvic health. Treating women, men, and all gender diversities to get to the root cause of persistent pain and developing personalized lifestyle strategies for optimal bladder, bowel, and sexual function. EPH is committed to providing professional continuing education and mentorship to support the growing demands of this emerging profession.
Tell us about yourself
As an Occupational Therapy graduate from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2000, I began my journey specializing in Pelvic Rehabilitation 15 years ago. My unyielding passion for Pelvic Rehab ignited with the first of many continuing education courses in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. I discovered how effective this treatment is and just how many people suffer in silence needlessly. The need for education and awareness was immediately clear. I have been dedicated to spreading the word and aiding in healing ever since. As the founder of Essential Pelvic Health, I look forward to elevating the well-being of this community alongside the many wonderful wellness professionals in the area. I firmly believe it takes a healing team, and every individual's "recipe" is different.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Serving my local communities as well as educating and mentoring clinicians internationally to reach even more clients in this underserved population.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Knowing and doing "all the things." I am great at clinical skills, but when it comes to budgeting, bookkeeping, and marketing, forget it!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Build a team to allow yourself to grow into. Invest in the support systems that would otherwise take you away from your expertise.

If you are passionate about what you do, you never feel like you are going to work.
