What's your business, and who are your customers?
I'm a leading authority on the benefits of laughter yoga. I am known for my energetic, entertaining, and content-rich programs. I have taken my passion for this unique craft to businesses and organizations, individuals, and groups throughout Ontario and the country.
I'm serious about laughter. After receiving my certification as a laughter leader in 2010, a teacher in 2012, and a Laughter Ambassador of Canada in 2017 through the University of Laughter Yoga, I made it my mission to let others know of the tremendous benefits of laughter. Today, I am a sought-after lecturer, presenting programs and seminars to a diverse audience.
Founder and facilitator of my club Hamilton Grooves with laughter yoga, since 2000, held in Hamilton, ON, I know how to bring the benefits of laughter to any place. As a Certified Laughter Yoga teacher and life coach, I understand how laughter can be used to heal the body, mind, and spirit connection.
Tell us about yourself
In 2002 I started my journey to becoming a Holistic Practitioner delivering through spiritual guidance Hands-on Healing encompassing Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy.
I was aware that something was missing in my personal healing toolbox but was not sure what that might be until 2010. It was then I heard about laughter yoga and started attending weekly sessions for the fun of it. I realized how laughter could release pain, stress, frustration, and loneliness. My missing tool had been found!
Laughter yoga allowed me to be silly, tap into my child-like spirit, be around others who love to laugh and share this unique concept with those who had forgotten how to laugh. I now get to help people to tap into their innate & infinite child-like spirit to increase their happiness potential through her laughter yoga programs.
I energize attendees and direct unforgettable laughter experiences using a unique combination of laughter and brain health exercises, deep diaphragmatic breathing (no poses), EFT, reflexology, singing, dancing, and child-like play.
My sessions create camaraderie in the spirit of friendship and community. Cheeks get rosy, eyes clear and twinkle, impish grins are everywhere to be seen, the room rapidly fills with friendly smiles, and the air acquires the fragrance of joy. I help enlighten my clients on how laughter and humor can be used to ease suffering and enhance one’s life. My educational and experiential classes help people connect and express emotions freely in the workplace and one’s family & social life.
I’ve always encouraged people to laugh and be happier, but on a smaller scale. Now I’m able to motivate, inspire and transform thousands of people, young and old, through my laughter yoga programs and seminars in Canada, the USA, and overseas.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is starting from scratch in my mid 50's with no money to having money that constantly flows into my bank account from multiple income streams, all on my terms. Throughout Covid, I managed to keep my business afloat by helping others find their true joy and happiness while keeping mine intact as well.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
You need to continuously work on your business, starting with having a plan, cold calling, keeping your books, and taking action.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Face your fears.
- Take action no matter how small or big they are.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?
My mission is to encourage laughter everywhere I go, every day, with everyone, beginning with the young to those who are young at heart in all walks of life. My goal is to create a world where healthy people come together in harmony and peace. For my next dream, traveling the world laughing.
