What's your business, and who are your customers?
I own an eyelash extensions salon. My clients are females who are between the ages of 20 and 70. Eyelash extensions enhance and beautify your everyday look and boost your confidence!
Tell us about yourself
I've always been interested in everything beauty stuff and decided to become an esthetician; that's when I learned that you could become an eyelash extensions stylist in Washington state. I just simply love doing lash extensions on all my clients. I love the procedures themselves and love making my clients happy! I love customizing each client based on what they want, or I sometimes decide the look for them when they're not sure about what they want, which is super fun for me too. I love building relationships with each of my clients, which makes me love my job even more.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is that my calendar is almost always fully booked since 7months from opening my business. Also, my self-confidence was boosted by owning a successful business, which is a huge accomplishment for me.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I have to deal with everything, meaning customer service, tax, responsibility, etc.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't hesitate to start your own business because it's fun being your own boss and having flexibility on your own schedule.
- It's good that you want to offer multiple services, but I believe in specializing in one service to master it.
- Cherish and value your clients and be thankful; at the same time, make sure that you and your services are not undervalued.
