Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health & wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lara Muzio, Founder of Lara Muzio - Certified WILDFIT® Coach, located in Genova, Italy.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a Certified WILDFIT® Coach, a nutritional program that combines evolutionary biology and behavioral change dynamics. I support people in completely reshaping their relationship with food, learning what human beings should eat, and rewiring the brain to like functional and nutritious food and dislike empty food-like products.

Tell us about yourself

When I quit my corporate job in Japan, I gained 9 kg (about 20 pounds) in just three months, and I started developing rheumatoid arthritis in my hands. I felt so scared, my body was betraying me, and I knew restrictive diets and crazy workouts don't work, so I felt even more lost.

When I found WILDFIT® and went through it as a client, my life transformed! Finally, things made sense. I released those 9 kilos and more, reversed rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases I didn't even know I had! I was finally free, and I realized WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN PAIN, not in our childhood, not in our teenage years, not in adulthood, and not in our third act.

We can reverse lifestyle diseases, heal from the inside out every single day, and enjoy the process simultaneously! This fires me up, empowering people to take back their lives and find their FOOD FREEDOM!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing my clients accomplish way more than what they started the program for. Seeing the light in their eyes when they finally understand how powerful they are and how much more they can achieve. This is the number one accomplishment I am committed to creating in my business!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Leading yourself first, before anyone else. Being a leader is distinct from being "the boss" and giving orders. Living this distinction can be hard when we are in the thunderstorm of creating and growing a business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be clear on your VISION, go big, imagine how you'd feel once your vision has become a reality, and paint the most vivid mental image you have ever painted. Then remind yourself of it EVERY SINGLE DAY, add to it, go more significant, and inspire yourself and others with it!
  2. Delegate, delegate, delegate... DELEGATE! Delegate even before you think you are ready to do it. Not good at graphics? Hire a graphic designer. Not good at keeping track of your appointments? Hire a VA. Can't afford to hire full-time? Hire part-time or by the hour. Delegate and use your freed-up time and mental energy to do your number one revenue-generating activity.
  3. Serve from your overflow. Suppose you deplete yourself while creating/running/scaling your business. In that case, you will resent your clients, yourself, and the company you have created for taking your time and energy. So take care of YOURSELF FIRST. Eat, sleep, hug your loved ones, meditate, go out in the sun, and enjoy life! Self-care and self-love are essential to serving your authentic, powerful self.
