My mother was a big inspiration in starting my company. She believed in self-empowerment; one can take control of their personal health and make changes that lead to a healthy and satisfying life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Developing a brand that is recognized in over thirty international markets as well as US and Canada.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The challenges of finding resources to grow and develop a brand. Whether it be financial or employees with the best skill set, it's critically important to have key pieces in place that align with the brand mission to execute growth strategies.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Determination...one must be determined to keep your head high, knowing there will be major headwinds in the journey to success.
- Resources...more are needed than what one initially expects...financial and otherwise, especially as bigger players move into your space.
- Dream...don't lose sight of your dreams; in the face of adversity and daily challenges, your dreams will power you to keep moving forward when the going gets rough.
