Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kyle Schu, Founder of Help Save Our Stores And Churches, located in Kulpmont, PA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Hello, and welcome my name is Mr. Kyle Schu from Kulpmont, PA. On April 1, 2008, I founded Help Save Our Stores And Churches but reformed within the State Of PA USA as a DBA and Sole Proprietorship on November 10, 2021. When I got tired of seeing empty buildings, I taught myself how to do marketing and advertising in real estate, giving realtors and brokers leads, but please note: I am not a licensed broker or realtor and cannot act in any way or form I just have a passion for saving old buildings as I know a lot of business people and private people to clergy and churches, so I can try to create jobs back into my area and trying to give something good for my area. I'm not about the money, so I Thank you, and please have a blessed day, as The Rest Is History! #realestate #marketing #advertising #business #ceo #jobs #people #thankyou #help #money #realtors

Tell us about yourself

Seeing vacant buildings, vacant churches, and vacant land and thinking to myself, you know what? These buildings can be saved if you find the right buyer for them because I just love saving these old buildings with the communities I work with that meant to the townspeople and to help create jobs as well.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Here are what I help get in my area of Pennsylvania and Florida, USA:

  • The Former St Joseph's Church on 110 Church Street in Locust Gap, Pa 17840, is now sold by my Boss, Anthony.
  • Discount grocery chain Save-A-Lot will move into the storefront vacated by Peebles in The Plaza at Coal Township. I have known about this since Jan of 2016. I have been working since 2008 trying to bring a new supermarket or grocery outlet, or even a retail store back to our area; ever since then, I was a big part of getting the new indoor farmers markets in the old bilo food buildings, and I also work trying to save old churches besides many others stores building too in my area I don't get pay only if the realtors want to pay me.
  • The 1991 Acura NSX with Comptech supercharger‏ with the help of my boss and great friend, Anthony Frank Giuffrida, was the car he was selling. I am happy it was sold with my help!
  • I sold the Wedding Chapel Turn Key Business in Orlando, Florida Wedding Chapel Turn Key Business in Orlando, Florida - $169,900.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Brokers and realtors who don't know me or whom I have asked for help with leads can still provide leads. This is because I know many business people, including those in churches, investors, brokers, realtors, and restaurant owners. However, sometimes these brokers, realtors, and restaurant owners misunderstand who I am. I don't represent myself as a broker or a realtor, but they assume that I am because I market and advertise all types of real estate. This can lead to confusion and frustration for both parties, and some brokers and realtors have even threatened me with lawsuits for helping them.

I have a passion for saving buildings and resources, which makes me happy. I wish that brokers and realtors could understand that I'm not asking for money and that I'm simply trying to help. Unfortunately, the real estate industry can be cutthroat, and some people are unwilling to accept help from outsiders. Nonetheless, I remain optimistic that I can change that.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Persistence, persistence, persistence, as you always just need to keep faith in God and pursue your goals no matter how many people put you down or upset you. If you put your faith in Jesus Christ, it's all things are possible; just like the Bible saith being kind, compassionate, and caring who truly wants to help others in life more about the money or pay
