KWT Creative Group - Keith Thomas

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Keith Thomas, founder of KWT Creative Group, located in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

So I have been a Chef for 20 years (5 years in restaurants, and hotels, 15 years personal chef). During that time, I have been coaching clients on various diets and creating high-profile cooking. I have traveled through the world sourcing the best ingredients available. My clients demand the best products free of chemicals and in season. I am also a certified nutritional consultant, and I often use food as an extension of medicine. I love helping my clients feel good and not depending on conventional medicine.

In addition to Chef Keith Thomas, I also have Chef Keto Keith, which is all things Keto. Chef Keto Keith brand helps people find a tailored eating lifestyle that works. I focus on healthy Keto, which consists of 6 to 7 cups of non-glycemic vegetables, healthy fats, and lean proteins. I also have published two books on the Keto lifestyle (Gourmet Keto Recipes From Around The World and Gourmet Keto Sauces From Around The World). Currently, I am working on a third book (Developing a mindset to never be on a Diet).

Tell us about yourself

Growing up in Jamaica, I was taught you are what you eat. Helping my mother with dinner parties really sparked my interest in food. I started gravitating toward good food institutions and analyzing how I could improve upon them. After running a successful catering company, my clients wanted a more detailed approach to food, which transferred me into the private chef realm. I really enjoyed researching the origins of my ingredients and how sustainable and environmentally friendly they are. I also really enjoyed helping people through education on nutrition and how to see beyond false advertising in the food industry.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would write that creating my books is definitely one of my best accomplishments. In addition to my food career, I also created KWT Creative Group Inc. KWT Creative Group a product development company. I started focusing on culinary products and am currently branching out from that. I have two books, an online resource company, Chef Keto Keith, and Chef Keith Thomas. Currently working on a third book. In the future, I plan to do a line of sauces and something in the motivational realm.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Organization, having everything organized can be challenging. It is also very important to stay on top of accounting and taxes. Also, keeping up with current trends in the market is very important, and seeking to find out what your customers want. Being able to separate what you like from what your customers want.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Seek out people who can help you. Who are interested in leaving a positive mark on the earth
  2. Know your product, Know how your product work, and know the probable, almost certain future of your product.
