Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business services but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kristy Crippen, Founder of Collaborative Partners Administrative Services, LLC., located in Warminster, PA, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
At Collaborative Partners Adminsitrative Services, LLC, we work with exhausted and overwhelmed entrepreneurs and small business owners who are tired of going it alone and recognize the value of having a dedicated support team on your side. Our mission is to take you from overWHELMED to overJOYED!
Tell us about yourself
I saw a real need in the market for dedicated support so that business owners didn't have to shoulder the burden of doing it all themselves. I love helping people to shine in their brilliance and work in their zone of genius!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I'd have to say that it comes from knowing that I'm able to watch my clients grow and blossom in their businesses. To witness them flourish and be willing to expand both themselves and their company. To see them open up and share their biggest challenges and vulnerabilities while being willing to do what it takes to make lasting change. Watching them recognize their own contributions and fully lean into their individual, unique gifts is hugely rewarding.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
It's about continually stepping into this new version of ourselves every time we grow and change. It's also knowing how to successfully navigate your day so that you're in a place of ease and flow. When you feel behind the proverbial "eight ball" all the time, you constantly feel buried under a mountain of tasks and responsibilities.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
There are so many tips, but these are some of my biggest and most crucial:
- Know what's really worth your time and also what YOUR time is really worth (i.e., what are you worth based upon your expertise, experience, skillsets, overhead, etc.). Your time is precious, and we don't have the luxury of spending it on things that aren't integral to our business. For things that aren't worth your time, can they be delegated to someone else to take care of for you? Can they be automated so that they get handled automatically? Do they even need to be done at all?
- Know how to navigate your day to have that ease and flow, and can therefore be hugely productive. Block off time in your calendar for specific tasks and hold yourself accountable for how you spend your day.
- Align yourself with people who believe in you and will support you (as well as challenge you to be your very best). I love having a business consultant and have worked with her for over a decade now. I'm a completely different business owner (and person) because of her. Also, join networking groups that align with your values and are a meaningful use of your time. Masterminds are also great because you're surrounded by people who want the same thing as you and can offer great insight on how to achieve your goals. Additionally, an accountability partner is another amazing way to continue rising higher and be ever-evolving.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
When you're clear about who you are, what you do, and what you want out of life, your whole world opens up to you. Push past the fear and keep taking the vital steps forward on your journey. Celebrate every WIN, no matter how small (because they all add up). And take time for yourself because you need to recharge to offer the best of yourself to the world.
