Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Kristen Miller, a digital marketer, business coach, digital course and sales funnel expert based in Anthem, AZ, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I own a boutique sales funnel design agency, and I help online entrepreneurs sell more of their digital courses through high-converting sales funnels. I work with mainly female entrepreneurs who have unique, expert skills and a powerful desire to help people. By using high-converting, evergreen sales funnels, my clients can reach more people than ever before. They increase their expert status and the impact they are making in the world. They also make more because of it.

Tell us about yourself

I started my business in 2014 as a parenting blogger. Over time, I learned more about digital courses and funnels and fell in love with the strategy and design of high-converting evergreen funnels. I love that I can combine my left-brain funnel strategy and right-brain converting sales page designs. I’m motivated every day by the ripple effects of positive change that are created through my and my client’s funnels. We are changing the world one digital course at a time.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment to date is creating my signature digital product, The Get it Together, Girl! System. I created the course and sold over $100k through my funnel in less than a year. I’ve also helped multiple clients reach their own 6 figure success.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is also the best thing - the fact that you’re your own boss. You call the shots. You make the decisions. If you struggle with vision setting and decision-making, that can be something that is a challenge.

You also need to wear all the hats in the business. Especially if you are a solopreneur - you are the CEO, the accountant, the marketing person, customer service, and everything in between. You have to learn to be incredibly resourceful to get everything done.

Beyond that, entrepreneurship is 100% a personal growth exercise. Nothing else compares to the mindset issues you will face as a business owner. You have to push yourself outside your comfort zone daily.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Just go for it. Don’t wait until you feel “ready” or when you have a solid idea or anything. Whatever the thing that makes you feel like you can’t start today - ignore it. You can start now, just where you are. Choose to believe in yourself, and you will find the way. Starting a business is like starting a family - you’ll never feel “ready.” You just have to do it.
  2. Find a mentor. Find someone who has achieved what you want to achieve and work with them. Find a mentor or a coach who is three steps ahead of you and find out how they did it. If you want to learn how to create digital courses/products and funnels, you can reach out to me for private coaching. Finding a coach will 10x your growth.
  3. Dream big! Whatever your dream is - double it. Triple it! Think ten times bigger than you are right now. You are capable of so much more than you believe. Those big, BIG dreams are within your reach. Digital courses and sales funnels have created the perfect environment for the rapid growth of small businesses.
